Scholarship Fund

THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND allows Fremont Public School children, who are qualified for Free or Reduced Lunch, to take Fremont Community Ed. Recreation & Enrichment classes/programs at a discounted rate (Free Lunch take 50% off, Reduced Lunch take 25% off).  Children may also qualify for 50% off if their parent brings in a Bridge card.  Qualified children may use the scholarship toward 1 class per quarter (Fall, Winter, Spring Summer).  Scholarships cannot be signed up for on-line.  Scholarships must be requested at time of signup in the office, by mail or FAX. Scholarships were made possible through grants from The Gerber Foundation and The Fremont Area Community Foundation.

Women's Self Defense

Women's Self Defense: For females age 13 to adult.  Personal Safety is a real concern for a woman in today's world.  Be safe & secure in your ability to defend yourself and your loved ones. Learn to use your body as a weapon against attack.  Learn to avoid or diffuse dangerous situations.  A combination of martial arts & street fighting techniques for women of any fitness level, with any physical challenges.  No uniforms or lengthy commitments to make.  Class held on six Thursdays (no class 4th of July week).  Taught in a non-threatening, non-judgmental atmosphere by a woman among other women, this course is a must for college students & women who travel.

Whats New
Table Tennis

Table Tennis is available every Tuesday, 7-9pm, in the Fremont Community Education Gym.  Cost is $3.00 each time you come.  No pre-registration necessary.  This is a non-rated, free play using ITTF rules & 3-star 40mm balls under the direction of Cody Korenstra.  Play is for the somewhat serious player.  Minimum age 16.  Bring your own paddle.
